Fr Anil possesses a robust background in journalism and media communication, distinguished with a Gold Medal in Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication (MAJMC) from St Aloysius College, (Autonomous) Mangaluru. Beyond his clerical duties, Fr Anil excels as a Google Certified AI coach, graphic designer, photographer, documentary and short film-maker, adept audio-video editor, web designer, and Ultra-Modern Digital Bible Quiz and GK Quiz conductor.
Fr Anil serves as a resource person on crucial topics such as media education, cyber security, digital well-being, mobile addiction, social media, digital media marketing, and artificial intelligence (AI). His extensive experience includes conducting workshops and seminars for children, youth, adults, teachers, and parents in educational institutions, establishing himself as a formator, spiritual mentor, and tech guide.
Recently, Fr Anil, in partnership with Mr Leo Victor Zalki, an Oracle and Google certified mentor specializing in AI, has been energetically organizing workshops on Artificial Intelligence. These workshops, held both offline and online in Mangalore and various other locations, target AI enthusiasts across India and globally. Together, they have delivered enriching sessions on AI to teachers in educational institutions, clergy, religious sisters, seminarians, and students alike. Currently serving as the Director of the Canara Communication Centre, Fr Anil oversees media management for the Diocese of Mangalore, orchestrating the production of diverse media content. His multifaceted role extends to writing media content, reporting news stories, and serving as the Diocesan Secretary for the Commission for Social Communication, along with being a valuable member of the Diocesan PR Team.
In addition to his media responsibilities, Fr Anil has held various pastoral positions, including Assistant Parish Priest of Rosario Cathedral, Rector of Gladsom Home Minor Seminary, and Diocesan Vocation Promoter.
Fr Anil is an active participant in the SIGNIS World Fraternity, a global movement uniting professionals in communication media. Recognized as a TOT in Film Appreciation from SIGNIS Asia Cine Desk, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the realm of media.
A devoted priest, Fr Anil channels his passion and talents to serve the Church and the community. NOV 11: “Now I am confident to explore the vast world of AI. I realize now that AI doesn’t take away jobs if we learn to use it. It actually enhances our creativity when applied ethically,” the principal of St Mary’s PU College, Shirva, said after attending the November 11 workshop at the Anugraha Pastoral Centre, Udupi, in the southern Indian state of Karnataka.
Jayashankara was among principals, headmasters, technical staff from English and Kannada medium schools, and members of the pastoral center team who participated in the program organized by the Catholic Educational Society of Udupi Diocese (CESU) to prepare educators for the rapidly evolving educational landscape.

135 representatives from 86 parishes explored the potential of Google Sites for creating parish websites with no cost and no coding skills needed. 🌐🙏
The workshop featured hands-on sessions led by my expert resource team. Participants learned how to use GOOGLE SITES, Canva for graphic design, best practices for website management, and technical details like custom themes, content moderation, and SEO techniques. 🖌️📈

I am delighted to announce the successful culmination of a transformative three-day international virtual workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which I had the honour of conducting along with The collaboration and partnership with Mr Leo Victor Zalki in collaboration with the communication coordinators of Divine Word Missionaries (SVD) in the Asia Pacific (ASPAC) region, alongside our esteemed general communication coordinator. 🤖✨
From March 7th to 9th, we delved deep into the theme 'unlocking the potential of AI', igniting discussions and insights that resonated with 235 registered participants! Each day, we witnessed the vibrant engagement of around 160 individuals, eagerly exploring the limitless possibilities AI holds in the field of communication ministry. 📅🔍🌐
What truly warmed my heart was the diverse tapestry of attendees! From dedicated members of SVD spanning across various nations to the esteemed Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS) and our valued mission collaborators, our virtual halls echoed with global perspectives and shared enthusiasm. 🌏🤝
